When the soil temperture reaches a consistent 65 F (18 C) usually between the monthes of April to July; Planting Rates: Lawns: 1-2 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. Lawn seed rates are much higher than pastures in order to create the desired plant density. Pastures: 5-10 lbs. per acre (hulled) in a well -prepared firm seedbed.
