SUMMARY

Developed by the Native Turf Group in cooperation with the University of Nebraska, Cody Buffalograss has established itself as a premier warm-season turfgrass. Faster establishment, higher density, lower growth rate, excellent winter hardiness, low water requirement, darker color, fine texture and a wide area of adaptation give Cody the edge as the choice for low maintenance areas.

01

NATIVE TURF

A true Great Plains native — adapted to regional soils, heat, and rainfall patterns.

02

LOW WATER

Deep-rooted drought tolerance keeps it green on a fraction of conventional turf irrigation.

03

COLD HARDY

Selected for winter survival further north than most buffalograss varieties.

04

LOW MOWING

Naturally low growth habit means fewer mowings through the season.

05

LOW INPUT

Minimal fertilizer requirements — it performs without a heavy feeding program.

06

SEEDED ESTABLISHMENT

No sod or plugs required — establish from seed at a fraction of the cost.

07

FULL SUN

Best performance in open, sunny sites; not suited to heavy shade.
