SUMMARY

Hubam is a summer annual sweetclover that is adapted from Georgia to Maine. It blooms and sets seeds in the planting year. Its value is largely in its soil health benefits (including nitrogen fixation) and its ability to attract pollinators with its abundant nectar production. Hubam clover can be frost-seeded in late winter or spring seeded as a summer annual.

01

DEER DRAW

Heavily browsed through the summer growing season.

02

DEEP TAPROOT

Breaks compaction and opens the soil profile for future plots.

03

NITROGEN FIXATION

Builds plot fertility without a fertilizer bill.

04

POLLINATOR VALUE

Heavy white bloom supports bees and beneficials.

05

ANNUAL CYCLE

Completes in one season — replant or rotate freely.

06

DROUGHT HARDY

Taproot carries it through the dry stretch of summer.

07

PLOT ROTATION

An excellent soil-building rotation ahead of brassica or cereal plots.
