UA 5715GT (R07-6614RR) was released by Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station. The first-generation Roundup Ready (RR) soybean trait became off-patent in 2015. However, there is still a strong demand for high-yielding public varieties carrying the RR-1 trait, as many farmers wish to continue using this technology without paying royalties, and therefore reducing their production costs. UA 5715GT is an RR, maturity group V (relative maturity 5.7) soybean variety. It is resistant to stem canker, frogeye leaf spot, and moderately resistant to reniform nematodes.
