SIZEBlackwell Switchgrass is an upland, bunch-type perennial warm season native grass that is widely used especially across the Great Plains and Midwest. Height 4 to 6 feet with a deep root system (6–10 feet), very good drought tolerance once established, excellent cold tolerance, and strong performance on poor, shallow, or eroded soils.
Developed and released from Blackwell, Oklahoma.
