With its showy, striking inflorescences of purple-lavender heads, it’s frequently cultivated by individuals creating native plant gardens.

Swamp milkweed is a native, perennial wildflower. it is often used wetland rehabilitation. It is a good component of a wildlife seed mixture when seeded with native grasses and wildflowers. It prefers moisture retentive to damp soils in full sun to partial shade.

PEREDOVIK SUNFLOWERS

Black sunflower can grow from 2 to 4 feet high forming small heads.. The seed makes excellent feed for all game birds and the plants are highly preferred by deer when they are young and still growing .

MATUA BROMEGRASS

Matua Prairie brome (Bromus wildenowii Kunth) is a very widely adapted prairie bromegrass. It has a great track record as a grazing species under irrigation in the arid Southern USA. Further north it does well as a grass companion in hay fields. More recently, its role in wastewater management has been proven. Matua seed is treated to prevent headsmut and processed to ensure free flowing seed at time of planting. Certified Matua is easily recognized by its pink color.
